30 Star Wars Memes for Aficionados of the Force (April 3, 2024)

How can one movie about a galaxy far far away from 1977 captivate the hearts and minds of not only the people who saw it then, but their children, and their children's children? It's the story that keeps on giving, like Santa Claus or Hansel and Gretel. In 100 years, what will be the state of the Star Wars franchise? Will it be lifted to the status of legend or folktale? Like John Henry or Johnny Appleseed? Or will it continue to spin off into countless movies and TV shows, even though nobody alive in 1977 will be alive then? Or will it be lost to the sands of time, forgotten and shoved off into a discount bin, like so many Adam Sandler movies?

Who can say? Certainly not me. I won't be there. Neither will you. Guess we'll just have to enjoy these Star Wars memes as we live and breathe.
